Sponsor a Child

There is a great need locally and countrywide, for the service Camphill School Hermanus provides. The need is even greater in the disadvantaged communities where parents are not able to contribute to the cost of the education their children need.

Some of our Day learners are very vulnerable and at risk in their own communities and would greatly benefit from becoming boarding learners in our school. To give these children this life-changing and crucial opportunity, we urgently need sponsors for them.

You could help to make this possible through a monthly full sponsorship of R8000 (or part thereof), which would cover tuition, board and therapies child.

The full cost of a day learner per month is R2500. Most of these children’s parents pay a very small percentage of this amount. Your full or partial sponsorship will ensure that we continue providing our much needed services to the local communities.

The sponsorship amount and frequency is flexible. Every donation will get us closer to full sponsorship.

Once a sponsor agrees to support a child, the Sponsor will:

receive a picture and a brief description of the child and the reward of supporting a very disadvantaged child for a brighter future;
communicate with their child through Camphill School twice per year, receiving some pictures and an update on the child’s progress in school. Sponsors may send personal letters, birthday cards, pictures, drawings from family members, and the like.

To sponsor a child, please download and complete the Child Sponsorship form and send it back to us. This will allow us to make contact with you to start building the relationship between you and your sponsored child.
